NY'S TECHNOLOGY TRIANGLE

NY's Technology Triangle

The Tryon Technology Park is strategically located within NY's Technology Triangle. This unique area is formed by three large transformational technology initiatives:

The Nano Utica initiative is a $1.5 billion economic development initiative being advanced by the State of New York. This iniative includes the Quad C (Computer Chip Commercialization Center) and the Marcy Nanocenter.
GLOBALFOUNDRIES is an international semiconductor foundry that manufactures integrated circuits for the semiconductor industry. It has five 200mm wafer fabrication plants and four 300mm plants. GLOBALFOUNDRIES has invested over $14 billion in its Fab 8 facility in Malta, NY. It currently employs over 3,600 people at the facility.
SUNY Poly is a global education, research, development, and technology deployment resource dedicated to preparing the next generation of scientists and researchers in nanotechnology. With more than $43 billion in high-tech investments, SUNY Poly represents the world's most advanced university-driven research enterprise. SUNY Poly's Albany NanoTech Complex is a 1.3 million-square-foot megaplex with the only fully-integrated, 300mm and 450mm wafer computer chip pilot prototyping and demonstration lines within 135,000 square feet of Class 1 capable cleanrooms.
